- Does Silhouette Cameo detect on other computers?
I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the USB controllers and check if it helps.
a. P ress Windows Key + R, type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
b. Aggrandize Universal Serial Coach controllers. Right click a device and click Uninstall . Repeat for each device.
c. Once complete, restart your computer. Your USB controllers volition automatically install.
d. Bank check the effect.
If the event persists, yous may install the latest chipset drivers and Silhouette Cameo software from the manufacturer's website and cheque if information technology helps in fixing the issue.

Thanks for replying! I idea the issue was fixed simply unfortunately it was brusk-lived.
As instructed I uninstalled/reinstalled the USB controllers and the motorcar worked. But I turned the Cameo off and I cant get it to connect once again. I've followed the aforementioned steps I did before, plus I've updated chipset drivers and uninstalled/reinstalled the Silhouette Cameo software but I deceit get information technology to connect to this motorcar.
I've had the Cameo working on an quondam laptop with no problems at all.

I purchased a Cameo ii months ago and I'm having the same trouble. Did you ever become a solution to the issue?
The Cameo technician instructed to reinstall my windows OS. I don't desire to offset with something so drastic.

Unfortunately not. I simply plow it off/on until it recognizes the device. Super annoying but I am non going the "reinstall windows" road :)

I purchased a Cameo ii months ago and I'm having the same problem. Did you lot ever go a solution to the issue?
The Cameo technician instructed to reinstall my windows Os. I don't want to start with something so desperate.
i didn't reinstall my windows Bone, but since i install last version of Silhouette studio, some times cameo is detected first and some times not,
i switch off and on many times and after iii ou 4 switchs, it'south ok
i install too the new version of OS when it tells to me

I crashed my laptop and purchased a surface 3. My silhouette worked twice and now keeps giving message not connected. It is driving me crazy!!! Anyone have luck with a solution?

November 20, 2016: Please see edit at the end BEFORE doing any of this!!
I take been having the aforementioned result with my Silhouette since I did my Windows 10 update. I was able to get information technology to piece of work again with the following steps:
Follow Sharief Chiliad's first two instructions (you'll accept to take your Silhouette plugged in and turned on for this):
a. P ress Windows Fundamental + R, blazon devmgmt.msc and press enter.
b. Aggrandize Universal Serial Bus controllers. Right click on the USB Printing Supportdevice and click Uninstall .
At present, do the following:
c. Unplug your printer and plough it off.
d. Uninstall Silhouette Studio.
east. Restart your calculator.
f. Download the latest version of Silhouette Studio.
g. Correct-click on the downloaded exe and click Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab. Choose Windows 8 from the drop down menu. I also clicked the Run this plan as administrator checkbox for good measure out. Click OK. (This step is of import considering it allows the drivers to be installed Win8 style. At to the lowest degree that's my theory)
h. Double-click on the exe to install Silhouette Studio. Do Non open up Silhouette Studio at the end.
I. Open the folder where yous installed Silhouette Studio. It should be in a directory similar this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Silhouette America\Silhouette Studio. November 20, 2022 Update:
The concluding time I tried to utilise my Silhouette, I had the USB Connection trouble once more, even after having done everything above. I think I must have just gotten lucky. This sequence posted on the FAQ on the Silhouette America site ultimately solved my problem:
- Close the Silhouette Studio® software Power off the Silhouette cutting machine
- Disconnect the USB cablevision from both the Silhouette cutting motorcar and the estimator
- Disconnect the power cable from the Silhouette cutting automobile
- Re-open the Silhouette Studio® software
- Select the Transport to Silhouette button
- Firmly plug in and power on the Silhouette cut motorcar
- Firmly connect the USB cable straight to the auto AND directly to the computer (bypassing any USB hubs) Annotation: All connections should be made using Silhouette cables. Other cables are not guaranteed to be compatible with the Silhouette cut machines
- If a proper connection is achieved, the Send to Silhouette screen should soon show a Gear up status.

I have this aforementioned trouble since I updated to Windows 10. I am wondering why yous said to run compatibility with Windows eight instead of 10? I never had Win8, I went straight from 7 to 10.
